Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know about how LawMillion works. Still stuck? Contact us.

Is LawMillion a law firm?

No. LawMillion is an online legal directory and attorney-referral service. We help you find and connect with independent attorneys, but we are not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice or represent you.

Does it cost anything to use LawMillion?

Searching the directory and connecting with attorneys through LawMillion is free for the public. Attorneys set their own fees for their services, and many offer a free initial consultation — always confirm fees directly with the attorney.

How do I find the right attorney?

Start by choosing your legal issue and location. You'll see attorneys who handle that type of matter in your area. Review their information, then reach out to request a consultation. It's a good idea to speak with more than one attorney before deciding.

Are the attorneys on LawMillion vetted?

Attorneys listed are independent professionals responsible for their own practices. We encourage every user to verify an attorney's license and standing with the relevant state bar before hiring them. A listing is not a guarantee of quality or suitability for your matter.

Will contacting an attorney create an attorney-client relationship?

Not automatically. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when you and an attorney separately agree to it. Avoid sharing confidential details until an attorney has agreed to represent you.

Is my information kept private?

We take privacy seriously. The details you provide are used to connect you with attorneys who can help. We don't sell your personal information for money. See our Privacy Policy and CCPA Notice for full details.

What areas of law does LawMillion cover?

We cover a wide range of practice areas, including personal injury, family law, immigration, criminal defense, business law, real estate, employment, bankruptcy, estate planning, and more. Browse the practice areas from the menu to see them all.

I'm an attorney. How do I get listed?

You can create a profile through our 'List Your Firm' option. You'll provide your professional details and practice areas. By listing, you confirm you're licensed and in good standing and that your listing complies with the advertising rules that apply to you.

Can LawMillion give me legal advice about my situation?

No. We can help you find an attorney and offer general educational resources, but only a licensed attorney can advise you on your specific situation. If your matter may be time-sensitive, contact an attorney promptly.
