Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LawMillion website and services operated by LawMillion, Inc. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What LawMillion is

LawMillion is an online legal directory and attorney-referral service. We help members of the public find and connect with independent attorneys and law firms. We are a technology platform — we are not a law firm, we do not practice law, and we do not represent you.

No legal advice; no attorney-client relationship

Nothing on LawMillion is legal advice. Information on the site is general and may not apply to your situation. Using LawMillion does not create an attorney-client relationship with LawMillion. An attorney-client relationship is formed only between you and an attorney you separately engage, on terms you agree with that attorney.

Please see our full Legal Disclaimer for more detail.

Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use LawMillion. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Terms for attorneys

If you list a profile as an attorney or law firm, you represent that you are licensed and in good standing in the jurisdictions where you practice, that your listing is accurate, and that your use of the platform complies with the professional-responsibility and advertising rules that apply to you. You are solely responsible for your communications with prospective clients and for your professional services. LawMillion does not guarantee any particular volume or quality of client contacts.

Acceptable use

When using LawMillion, you agree not to:

  • Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect information about other users without permission;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the site's operation or security;
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

Intellectual property

The LawMillion name, logo, site design, and content (excluding content you submit) are owned by LawMillion or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our content without permission. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a license to use it as needed to operate the services.

Disclaimers

The site and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any attorney listed is suitable for your matter, or that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Your dealings with any attorney are solely between you and that attorney.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LawMillion and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of the site or your dealings with any attorney found through the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold LawMillion harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the site, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which LawMillion is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the site means you accept the revised Terms.
